I love this studio! The gentle yoga class was fabulous, incorporating both movement and focus in a great way! I plan to be a regular.

What a great experience combining the yoga nidra with a sound bath! Great relaxing experience that took me deep and made me sleep like a log later that night as well, as my body finished processing the experience.

Solange, the owner of Yoga in Common, taught a most “delicious” restorative class today. She helped each of us many times to be comfortable and was “hands on.” She used sound to enhance our experience; it seemed like I was hearing in stereo! What surprised me was the abundance of energy I had after class. So much so, that I went home and cooked dinner!

Owner of Yoga in Common Studio & Retreat Host

After the birth of my second child, I went through a very difficult postpartum depression. At what should have been one of the happiest times of my life, I felt a dark cloud hanging over me. The depression lasted for over a year—though much of it feels like a blur now. I saw countless doctors and was prescribed some very heavy medications, but nothing seemed to bring real relief.
Somehow, I found my way to a yoga studio. Yoga became the light that finally broke through my depression. It wasn’t just my cure—it was the beginning of a personal transformation and a lifelong journey of healing and passion.
Over the years, I have deepened my understanding of transformation, exploring different healing modalities and integrating them into my own practice. Wherever I traveled, I sought out new yoga studios, teachers, and approaches to this 5,000-year-old practice. Through yoga, I not only found renewal, but also strength of mind and body. I began learning about the chakras, Reiki, and so much more, and my curiosity continues to guide me today.
Eventually, I discovered Yoga In Common, and I knew instantly I had found a home. I earned my first yoga teaching certificate here and became part of a community I truly cherish.
In 2024, the opportunity arose to purchase Yoga In Common, and I felt called to continue sharing this powerful practice with others. Yoga has transformed me, shaped me, and given me the life I have today. It is my deepest joy to share this energy and passion with the Myrtle Beach community. Namaste.
